Shoaib Malik's New Instagram Bio Reignites Divorce Rumours With Wife Sania Mirza
For quite some time now, Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer are rumoured to have been planning a divorce. However, none of them has addressed these reports. It was very recently that Sania was noticed posting several cryptic posts that fueled these rumours even more.
This time it's Shoaib. The man himself has now removed Sania’s name from his bio giving the fuel to fire.
Malik’s older bio read, “Husband to a superwoman @mirzasaniar.” But now his bio only reads, “Father to One True Blessing”. The duo has been known to transcend boundaries between India and Pakistan with their relationship. The couple who married in 2010, became parents to a son named Izhaan in 2018.
Sania and Shoaib first tied the knot in a traditional Muslim ceremony in India’s Hyderabad and later had a Walima ceremony in Pakistan’s Sialkot.
Last year in November ANI reported, “Sania recently moved to a new house in Dubai. Sania was living in a villa in Dubai's Palm Jumeirah with Shoaib Malik earlier, however, she recently moved to a different locality in Dubai.”
The same year, Shoaib appeared on the Pakistani Cricket show 'Ask the Pavillion' where the host asked him about Sania's tennis academies’ location. Shoaib in his reply said that he isn’t aware of it. The surprised Waqar Younis even jokingly told Malik, “What sort of husband you are?”.
A month after all this drama, the couple came together to host a talk show called The Mirza and Malik Show silencing the rumours.
It was the same time when Malik was also rumoured to have been dating Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar. The duo even did a sensuous magazine photoshoot together. Omar, however, addressed the rumours and issued clarification regarding the same. She said, “Unki shaadi hui hai aur woh apne biwi ke sath bohot khush hai.”
“I respect both of them. Shoaib is a good friend of mine and we only wish the best for each other. Such relationships also exist in the universe." In another byte, she said, “I will never be attracted to a married or committed man ever. Everyone knows me... that goes without saying.”
Earlier this year, Sania Mirza announced her retirement from professional tennis. She told WTA, “I really don’t have the capacity in my mind to emotionally push that much anymore. I turned pro in 2003...Priorities change, and now my priority is not to push my body to the limit every single day.”
